Hebrews 13:16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others

Spring 2006

Dearest family and friends,

newsletter3200601   Praise God! He has answered your prayers by giving us an 1800 sq. ft warehouse. (See picture on the right) We have been busy working on it since January 12th, and it’s now being used for God’s work.  God sent Mark from CO and several men from Vista Del Sol Church, El Paso to put on the roof and help Jim with the interior of the building.  We are so grateful to these men who sacrificed their Saturdays to help with this project.  We also had some dear friends come from GA (picture below) during their vacation and helped us paint the entire outside of the building under windy conditions. We had a lot of fun.
Many people have asked about security of the warehouse. We have no windows and the skylights have been made secure w/rebar, plus there are light sensors over the front and newsletter3200602back doors. Many people in the area have had homes built by teams and they keep watch as well.
February, Pastor Tino and Juanita invited us to Jaltipan, Vera Cruz, MX (36 hour bus ride-Jim did great) to join them for a four-day church conference and for some relaxation. (Juanita is from there) God had other plans. Jim used his gifts by helping each church we visited with instructions for structural improvements. (Roof and wall supports and answered many construction questions) We found the state of Vera Cruz to be very beautiful and it reminded me of Costa Rica with all the fruit trees and greenery. The people of Jaltipan were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. We stayed with the Heliodora Perez family who treated us as if we were royalty. No they didn’t speak English but we had a great time doing charades and laughing a lot.  The conference was a great success. The little church that hosted the conference, with the help of donations, fed five hundred people who had gathered under two tents in the middle of the street to hear the Gospel. Many became believers.
In our last newsletter, we had asked you to pray for a man to be on staff. At this time, until we have more teams, we’ll continue to hire as the need arises. We feel this is a better use of God’s money.
Dame Lo Mano project; as anywhere else in the U.S., construction seems to be slow. Paperwork has been handed to those in charge of permit requests, but we haven’t heard. Please continue to pray that this project will begin soon.
We started Border to Border Missions with the idea of working both sides of the border and helping other ministries in any area they needed. The week of March 27-31, we will be helping another ministry build their team center in Juarez.  This should prove to be an interesting experience and we are looking forward to it.
newsletter3200603    We ask that you please pray for Juanita. (Picture on right) The doctor told her she has three tumors and he is treating them with medication. She will take the medicine for three months, two weeks on and one week off. We are very concerned about her so please join us in praying for Juanita and Pastor Tino. We also have a need for money to buy a used truck so we can deliver the house material to the job site.
God has been good to bless us with more teams this year but we still have lots of room for more.  If you know of anyone who would like to go on a mission’s trip, please give them our email address or telephone number.
Jim and I want to thank you for all your prayers and financial support. We’re grateful for your faithfulness and support more than you’ll ever know. Satan has been attacking the mission church and we truly appreciate your prayers.

Blessings to you all,
Jim and Barb Hetzel
