MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM

BORDER TO BORDER MISSIONS

December 2006

Dear family & friends,

This has been a year of many blessings that we want to share with you. We’d like to recap the year of 2006 with pictures. It’s been said that a picture says a thousand words. Here are ours.

One warehouse constructed for Border to Border Missions, eleven homes were built for some very happy families.

The man of this house received the Lord along with his sister in law. Praise God

One big church addition for Pastor Tino & Juanita

God gave Border to Border Missions three donated vehicles this year. We are so thankful for the generosity of our friends. Having these vehicles will save us rental fees. All our vehicles will be painted blue.

A team of eleven constructed this very large ministry center in Choquita, MX, for Pastor Ernesto and Olga. (12 hours SW of Juarez) It will be use to train leaders to teach the Tarahumara Indians about Jesus.

We also opened a library in Pastor Tino’s church. The funds for purchasing most of the books were raised by an intercity school in Denver, CO.  The children really enjoy reading the books.

HERE IT IS: The colonia playground. This is the playground we made mention in the last newsletter. Through some wonderful donators we now have a big playground for the kids. There are two swing sets, a play house for the girls, a bike path for the boys, a big table (lower right) for moms to sit and watch their kids or to visit with other moms, and a jungle gym (middle of picture) with a fireman’s pole and a climbing rope. There are always children there. There are many “goat heads” (stickers) in the colonia and the children always seem to have flat tires. We have purchased self sealing tubes and tires for the children. They’re really happy to be able to use their bikes and check out the bike path.

We feel we have been incredibly blessed this year. God has been so good.  The ministry is doing well, Jim’s back is the best it’s been since moving here, we’ve had good health, had family and many friends visit, Jim was able to travel to his home town to see family, and we visited our brothers and sisters in the Lord in Vera Cruz, MX.  We count it a joy and privilege to have this opportunity to serve a great God and to have you come along side of us in your prayers and financial support.

Jim, our gang from Juarez, and I also wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.  We pray that you’ll remember the real reason we celebrate CHRISTMAS.  Pastor Tino and Juanita have sent along their wishes in a separate letter.

Dios te bendiga (God bless you)

Jim & Barb
