Hebrews 13:16…And do not forget to do good and to share with others

Dearest family and friends,
We trust you’ll be blessed at this wonderful time of year as we remember and celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior.
Jim is doing fairly well. He’s had therapy on his arm which has proven to be very painful when he exercises. His range of motion is getting better little by little. We have an appointment to see the doctor in mid January.
We want to sincerely thank everyone who has prayed, sent encouragements and best wishes to us. God has blessed us with so many wonderful friends who love and care for us .We truly are grateful! We’re really sorry that we couldn’t answer all the email. Barb was kept really busy driving and getting material for the next projects. We’ll be in Colorado for the holidays, but this year is different than the others because Jim is trying to recuperate so we won’t be able to make as many visits. We hope you’ll understand if we don’t get to see you this year.
Praise the Lord! We have built another church in Juarez with the help of men and women from Vista del Sol Baptist Church in El Paso. Border to Border Missions was able to build a 23’ x 36’ church for Pastor Antonio. Funds were raised by these willing helpers to construct this church over three consecutive Saturdays in November. This is exciting news because there are no churches in this community. There are many children there and Pastor Antonio has started a ministry for them. While we were building the church, many would come by and watch, then tell us this was “their” church. They would say it with much pride.
Mike & Kristie, from Loveland, wanted to come help a family in Mexico so they bought their family of three children. Kristie came with hair scissors and clippers and cut hair all day. The lines seemed endless; men, women, and children. The women told us that hair cuts are expensive so Kristie was a real blessing to them. Barb even had her hand at cutting men’s hair. The family was able to build a roof structure on an existing addition, also new windows and electrical, and paint the old and new home. This was a wonderful gift to the family of seven that was living in a 12’ x 14’ room.
Pastor Tino and Juanita want to start a ministry in January to feed and teach 300 children once a month at the mission church. This will take extra funds. As many of you know, they have a ministry teaching Bible verses and stories at the main church. The children are very excited to come to class. Pastor Tino tells us the children knock on their door at 8:00 AM; class starts 10:00 AM.
Important Information. 1) We are now a 501 © (3), charitable, non-profit organization. This means we’ll be able to receive grants that some of you have asked about. Please make your checks to: Border to Border Missions. A tax statement will be issued to you at the end of the year like Vista del Sol church has done in the past. The new mailing address is: Border to Border Missions, 1605 George Dieter # 687, El Paso, TX, 79936. We’re very excited about this change as it could help more Mexican families receive the help they need. 2) Passports – not necessary until June. If you have them, please bring them with you as it hastens the crossing process. No passport? You’ll need an ID and a copy of your birth certificate; children need only a copy of their birth certificate.
We’re really sorry there aren’t pictures in this letter. I seem to be having problems retrieving them from my computer at home. We’ll have them next time. Our staff wants to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a blessed New Year.
PS. I’m sorry for the lateness of this letter. My computer went on vacation when we went to Colorado. L
Many blessings,
Jim & Barb
